Title: Electrical Engineer

Location : Mankato, MN

Duration: full-time - direct hire

Salary : $70,000 to $105,000 yearly

Position Summary:

• This position is responsible for performing engineering work related to developing custom electrical and control solutions. The role involves collaboration with various departments, including Sales, Purchasing, and Manufacturing, to move orders from initial concept to production. It also includes support for Sustaining Engineering of existing product models.

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop electrical components, harnesses, and systems (including subsystems) to meet customer requirements while adhering to standard engineering principles and practices.
• Collaborate with Applications, Mechanical Engineering, and Sales teams to understand customer requirements.
• Conduct design tasks with a high level of accuracy and completeness.
• Serve as the key owner for Direct Account customer solutions.
• Develop schematics to document as-built wiring for custom electrical designs.
• Manage and utilize computer-assisted drawing (CAD) data and equipment.
• Release parts and subsystems for production with proper approvals.
• Support continuous improvement and sustaining engineering initiatives.
• Select appropriate design concepts and technologies for new or improved products.
• Communicate and coordinate with other departments, vendors, and customers.
• Monitor work progress, resolve problems, and ensure timely project completion.
• Follow standard engineering principles and practices.
• Support production with engineering-related issues.
• Promote a compliance culture and adhere to company ethics and standards.
• Perform special projects as required.

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and at least 3 years of electrical engineering experience, or 7 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to travel to customer and manufacturing sites.
• Proficiency in:
• AutoCAD LT
• AutoCAD Electrical
• Programming for Programmable Logic Devices
• Microsoft Office
