ABC News is seeking an Executive Producer for “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.”

“This Week” is ABC News’ pre-eminent Sunday-morning discussion program, featuring newsmaker interviews, panel discussions, lively taped segments, and debates on a wide range of global issues, providing a unique perspective on the week’s news and setting the stage for the upcoming week.

Responsibilities:

The Executive Producer will provide creative oversight, management, and editorial leadership for “This Week,” reporting to the ABC News Vice President and Washington Bureau Chief.

The Executive Producer:

• Oversees and directs the execution of “This Week,” including the signature Sunday-morning program, “This Week” branded content, and special programming on Hulu and ABC News Live.
• Collaborates with peer executives and “This Week” anchors to develop and implement a content strategy that attracts and engages audiences across all platforms.
• Manages relationships with ABC News’ political contributors, in coordination with talent executives and the Washington Bureau Chief.
• Leads the development of the booking strategy, supporting relationships with the White House, Capitol Hill, and federal agencies to facilitate guest bookings.
• Works with the “This Week” team and Washington Bureau to expand the brand across new platforms and opportunities.
• Implements strategies to meet goals for ratings, audience, and revenue.
• Sets objectives to achieve budgetary targets.
• Fosters an innovative, collaborative, and diverse culture promoting idea generation, open communication, respect, and excellence.
• Ensures compliance with ABC News policies and maintains high ethical standards.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10+ years of results-oriented experience in news production.
• Strong editorial judgment.
• Deep understanding of the political landscape.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
• Proven leadership in managing and building teams.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

The hiring range in Washington D.C. is $244,200 - $327,400 annually. Compensation will consider internal equity, geographic location, experience, and skills. Additional bonuses or incentives, as well as benefits, may be included based on the position.
