We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Project Engineer or Managing Engineer for a full-time Solid Waste position in our Glastonbury, CT. Duties primarily include engineering related to general civil and environmental engineering, as well as solid waste management facilities and systems.

Technical duties include:

  • CT DEEP Solid Waste Permitting & Compliance services, stormwater compliance, miscellaneous discharge compliance, local permitting and compliance, and municipal stormwater systems permit compliance.
  • Preparation of engineering design reports, feasibility studies, environmental studies and solid waste management plans.
  • Specific assignments may include developing site layout and grading plans, stormwater conveyance and storage facilities, erosion control design, site utility design, on-site roadways, and ancillary buildings and structures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field.
  • 8-15 years of experience in the consulting industry a plus, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in CT or the ability to obtain reciprocity is desired.
  • Experience with the design and layout of site plans, grading plans, pipelines, storm water systems and other related civil/site work is a plus.
  • Construction observation and contract administration experience and a willingness to work on seasonal field assignments is a plus.

Estimated Pay Range : $105,000 - $115,000/year.

Actual compensation may vary based on related work experience, geographical location and market conditions, education/training, certifications, and other credentials, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
