Overview

We’re hiring a System Test Engineer to support after-hours operations of a cutting-edge Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing environment. Working onsite during evening, night, and possibly weekend shifts, you'll play a key role in ensuring our systems are prepped, maintained, and ready for continuous global testing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and update operational guides and training instructions for system users.
• Track and document hardware and software changes, test activity, and system status.
• Assist with configuring equipment and simulations based on engineering team needs.
• Manage system updates, including software and firmware deployments on specialized hardware.
• Perform initial troubleshooting for hardware/software issues and escalate where needed.
• Maintain an organized lab environment, including inventory oversight and tool management.
• Conduct regular checks and coordinate routine servicing for HIL platforms.

What You Bring

• A degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Software Engineering or related technical field.
• At least 3 years of experience in systems testing or lab-based engineering environments.
• Strong working knowledge of Windows-based systems and related software setup.
• Proven experience with lab testing equipment and interpreting engineering documents.
• Understanding of digital communication protocols (e.g., RS422, RS485, Ethernet).
• Effective communicator with solid organization and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or C/C++.
• Familiarity with National Instruments platforms like PXI, LabVIEW, or VeriStand.
• Practical knowledge in power electronics or analog circuit design.
• Comfort using diagnostic tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and network analyzers.
