Job Description

Leeds is working with a great client in the Matthews area that is looking for an Estimator to join their growing team.

Responsibilities:

• To view blueprints, understand the scope of work, read the specs, and determine costs.
• Enter data to monitor labor, subcontractor costs, equipment rental costs and material costs against the estimate.
• Prepare bid packages that detail all job costs including overhead and profit.
• Maintain contact with and knowledge of suppliers and manufacturers of job related material. Ensure proper lead times are incorporated into the bidding process.
• Manage the bidding process in such a way that the highest quality bid is produced at maximum cost efficiency.
• Ensure that bids are submitted in the proper time frame.
• Ensure the proper profit level is built into the bids.
• Bid enough business to keep the company operating at the forecast level.
• Maintain the appropriate success rates of bids made to bids accepted.
• Maintain job file histories

Must Haves:

• At least 4 years of commercial plumbing estimating experience
